Talon "News" Update
This is a bit long and confusing, but funny, in a ridiculous way, so follow along if you want.
1. Talon is fake news.
A couple weeks ago we pointed out that there is this "Talon News" being some conservative news group. Well, turns out it's just total bullshit. They are just fake, and in place to ask Bush easy questions.
2. Talon has White House Press Credentials.
Talon was formed in March 2003. 5 DAYS LATER, it received White House Press Credentials. 5 days? I guess those those Republican friends come in handy. Either way, The Chief Source has been around for more then 5 days, so either we can have WH access.
3. The Press Secretary (McClellan) gave the Credentials.
He did. He claims, its not his job to control who in the PRESS has access to the PRESS ROOM. This takes the Bush unaccountability to another level. The Press Secretary "cannot control" who has WH press access.
4. Jeff Gannon is not really Jeff Gannon.
Jeff Gannon is actually James Guckert. He lied about his name. Oh, and James/Jeff is not a journalist. He went to a $50, 2-day Republican journalism seminar.
5. Gannon/Guckert is a gay pornographer.
He quit his job today, after it was revealed that he has a bunch of gay porn domains. Also, a picture of him posing in his underwear was just removed from AOL, but we have it. Talon has removed all info about him and all stories from the site.
6. Just a "Conspiracy Theory"
McClellan claimed all this question is just a big conspiracy theory. EXACTLY. This White House is trying to control and filter their message. So they sent in a group of friends to make fake news. Then Bush acts like they are legit. That is a pretty big conspiracy theory, and its exactly what happened. This crap, combined with Bush paying journalists to promote programs, and other sort of stuff, is just getting out of hand.
Bottom line, either get these bums out of the White House, or let The Chief Source in.
UPDATE: Sorry for being a censor but the comments were making us look stupid. On the day of our 10,000 reader, we are looking to go beyond ridiculous personal attacks/challenges. Well, at least attacks on our readers.....I am all for attacking this fake journalist/pornographer.

Let me preempt Justin's response by saying, "what a joke". Seriously though, I remember seeing a commercial for Talon news over Christmas, and it looked like an absolute joke. Anyone who would listen to and believe such a crappy source is beyond help.
I personally am all for The Chief Source having White House credentials, although I can't help but have an image of Chuck being dragged away by secret service when he spits on Bush for a response to his question.
The other interesting thing about "Jeff Gannon" is that he's not just another reporter who happened to slip by Scott McClellan. Jeff Gannon was the one who got the exclusive leak on the name of Valarie Palme, who was the CIA operative and wife of Joe Wilson. Valarie Palme was working on the case for Weapons of Mass destruction in Iraq and wasn't falling in line with the White House so they blew her cover.
kyle- as far as I know Robert Novak was the journalist who got the exclsuive leak on the Plame story - and he says it was not really a leak, well that part is a long story - but I had not heard of this guy having to do with the Plame stuff

that article says nothing of an exclusive leak and from what i can tell his connection to the case is his interview w/ Joe Wilson who was interviewed by everyone

How the hell else did Novak know her name? He "reported" it. Yeah, right.
A person from the WH went right to Novak with the name, so it would shut up Joe Wilson from dissenting. Also, whoever did leak the story, leaked it to multiple reporters, but only Novak was a big enough dick to publish it.
The Valerie Plame thing is a great example of the sick/illegal/disgusting depths this administration will go
The article points out that Gannon was named in the federal investigation regarding Valarie Palme and the leaking of the memo. Novak wrote the big name article, but Gannon was the small fry who got the memo.

I might be mistaken, but it seems to be that Justin is stealing a famous quote made a certain Senior Editor of The Chief Source

I am going to have to respectfully disagree with the editor in chief on this one. there is no room for anonymous comments, be a man and stand up for what you believe in. Even if it is a personal attack.

How is it that these threads invariably end up way off subject?
Lets talk more about how to get the Chief Source some WH credentials. I'm thinking maybe if the staff were to pose in some pictures similar to the one above, that right there would be the ticket.
