You know what, I really cannot take this "democracy" talk. When I hear about Lebanon ousting the pro-Syria government, I hear every freaking Republican talk about how Bush's spread of democracy is working. DO THESE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT WE WENT TO IRAQ BECAUSE OF WMD? This democracy stuff is not what the people were told. Seriously, everyone that holds similar opinions to myself, need to constantly remind everyone that why we went to war. We cannot let them get away with this manipulation of the basis for the war.

i might seem annoying that i always bring this point up, but it just seems everyday that more and more people grow to think we went to iraq to "free" them. we didn't.
It really is the truth, we went to war because of WMD, there were none so we as the american people are being lied to.

I thought we went to Iraq becasue Saddam was in cahoots with Bin Ladin virtually flying the planes himself, then because of WMD, then to fight the source of terror (which has now shifted to Iran), then to liberate the Iraqi people?
The temptation is there to link the elections in Iraq with the over throw of the government in Lebanon. "Freedom is on the march in the Middle East." I think that people took to the streets in Lebanon to call for a change in government because of what they saw this past year in the Ukraine as opposed to what they saw in Iraq. In the Ukraine it was the will of the people and not a foreign occupation that brought political change.

yeah, it was something like that. its like taking your car to get fixed because you think there is something wrong with the brakes. the car guy tells you that there is nothing wrong with the brakes, but there is something wrong with your muffler. then you say "I am so smart for taking my car to get the muffler fixed"
