I found it interesting how the President carefully distinguished between the "terrorists who attacked us" and "the terrorists we face." It makes me ask the question why are these two separate groups? Isn't that a problem?
He tried to link the two groups by arguing that they are connected because "they are followers of the same ideology." Weak in my opinion.
Well, I've been more right leaning lately. I've called for DEMs to quit Bush-bashing. I've even come to verbal blows with Chief Source Editor and good friend, Chuck. I've been trying to avoid partisan bitterness...
But when I see this man speak, I want to puke. He actually makes my physically ill. I might start believing in God, just so I can take comfort in the fact that him and his cronies will burn in hell.
I watched Fox's post speech coverage. It was good to see Gen. Wesley Clark on there. I think I really got 10-15 minutes of real news and discussion.
Clark applauded the President's concluding remarks for supporting our troops. I strongly agree. However, I think the President is also hoping that support for the troops will translate to support his policies. I think most people, like myself, view them as separate entities.
Sometimes you just have to stand and face the music!" - That is what my WWII Veteran uncle told me, as a child, when I denied that anything was wrong and a correction was in order.
Well Folks, The War in Iraq is exactly this - "Time To Face the Music."
Verse 1.)There was no reason to invade Iraq in the first place - Evidence of this is piled high. Deep down most Americans know this as well most other rational and moral persons on earth. After all: No Iraquis blew up New York or the Pentagon -- Doesn't anyone remember that it was 15 Saudis? Hell, why didnt we take of advantage of the Saudis and squeeze their balls until we had gobs of free oil???
Verse 2.) Iraq has become yet another arena for our enemies to engage, kill and maim us on their level of vicious guerilla warfare - thereby neutralizing our technological advantage. With all our military technology, why do we need to occupy an arena that is in the insurgents best game? As Rumsfeld said: There is NO end in sight - this could go on for 10 years or more. Why not change course in our favor? Every day, more and more terrorists pour into Iraq , eager and willing to fight out troops.
Verse 3.) Our present quagmire is destroying morale and willingness of our best young persons to join the military. Nobody is apparently eager to join up - sad evidence of something gone very wrong. And our military and Nation get weaker & weaker.
Verse 3.)What exactly is the PLAN?
Bush does not know - he wouldn't know what to do if it bit him in the ass.
Robert, I want to puke when I hear Bush speak also, I think I have the same reaction syndrome as Standoes when he pukes on his girlfriend in South Park.
The only difference I have is that I yearn to puke down w's shirt
And the next morning after I have heard w speak, I wake up with morning after- that Bile/ Pizza/Beer/smokies & bilnd robins swill pukey taste tatooed in my gullet and sinuses.

"terrorists" just another silly buzz-word we should all ignore.
He is still trying to confuse people about Iraq and 9/11.
