On this site we often debate the cost of the war. National Public Radio's Eric Westervelt has done an excellent piece on the lasting cost of the War in Iraq that will be here long after the financial debts are paid. It serves as a reminder that war is more than just a political debate. Please understand that I'm not looking to exploit the injury or loss of American soldiers, but to ignore the human consequences of war as I feel the national media has is unconscionable.
