Can't stay mad at Lou.
I have a confession to make...I have a sweet spot for right-wing pundit, Lou Dobbs.
I know, I know...he and I just had that big falling out. When he told that guest on his program that if it was up to him, foreign flags wouldn't be allowed to fly over American soil (specifically, Irish flags on St. Patrick's Day!!) I cursed him until I was blue in the face and then...then there's the border control issue. He is such a hard-liner that he often stops just short of calling for the composting of illegal immigrants. Everytime it comes up, I tell him straight up: "I hate you, Lou Dobbs! I hate you! I hate you!"
And yet...sometimes he still woos me.
He writes a column every Wednesday at CNN.com.
Some of his previous installments have been:
Bush Speech satisfies nobody
Well his latest installment is titled (this is not a joke):
Lou...you had me at "hell."

It is unreal to see some of Bush's most vocal critics coming from the right.
How will the man make it another 900 days, taking a beating from all sides?
Wouldn't it be great if he just quit and retreated to the ranch?
robert--we finally agree! great article! However, sending Bush to his ranch or wherever will change nothing. The man is right, our leaders are out of touch with Middle America (yes I know that term-America-has been outlawed in the Mich. school system. It is time to view Congress for what it is--THE HOUSE OF LORDS
Bob, The true conservatives are the ones most betrayed by Bush...I can feel their pain.
We moderates have had the neos number for qiute some time so we dont feel shocked by anything he does (if that is any comfort at all???)
I read both sides of the political spectrum and maintain relationships with all persons of all viewpoints.
I was once taught: No person is all bad nor all good. There is nobody that you can't learn something from.
I guess even Lou Dobbs.....but...Sean Hannity can kiss my ass & I would like to take a rubber hose to Ann Coulter
Yes Fred, we have a Govt that serves only the highest bidder.
Totally Un American...Actually the Brits have a more Democratic Gov that we presently have..
Let rejoin the Queen's empire!
(not)
i dont feel that betrayed on the immigration thing.
I honestly feel that Bush is used to Texas where South of 1-10 where Mexicans and Americans have been living and working side by side for years - and it works there. That isnt the case in most places, but it is his expierence. i truly believe on this issue he is doing what he thinks is right based on his past in Texas. If he didnt think he was doing the right thing - why would he do it?, since it is not that politically popular, no one could really think that is why.
I also think most Republicans that are against the plan arent facing reality. I am not a fan of parts of the Senate plan, but if they can get most of the House bill passed, then fine.

I think everything the Republicans do is just fine. Even if it doesn't make any sense, they only have me and my fellow republicans best interests at heart. We should count ourselves lucky that we have such a great President.
A side note: My father, a lifelong republican/lover of yellow shorts will be voting democrate in the next election.
OK, I'll bite...
What is a lover of yellow shorts?
Bob, I've been following the commentary of Lou Dobbs on the immigration issue and I like his commentary. He shares my view that illegal immigrants are harming rather than helping the U.S. economy.
Yellow shorts are somewhat of an inside joke. My dad used to wear old ratty extremely short yellow terrycloth jogging shorts to do yard work in. Some friends stopped by the house one day and my dad's yellow shorts became the stuff of Ron's dad, or "Yello, you've reached the Kozelkas, home of Chuck Sr., Chuck Jr., Jerry, and Karyn. We're either out playin' or makin' a buck, most likely playin'..."
