This Is A Real Lieberman Commercial

This is an ad on the air in Connecticut paid for by Joe Lieberman against Ned Lamont. It is pretty bad that our former Vice Presidential candidate has been reduced to running cartoon commercials. Watch and feel the Joementum.

It is the commercial from his first run for Senate. He is trying to create memories by running this ad.

Ben, I read that too. The trick of these kind of ads is they get people talking about your campaign. They say any press is good press. I'm looking forward to the results of this race. Hopefully the debates will be on c-span.

i think we are both losers because i like to watch senate debates as well from other states in cspan. i planned my days around it in 2002.

The commercial is pretty stupid, but it mentions that Lamont agrees with the Republicans most of the time. That is the criticism Lieberman is getting from liberals, so he's probably hoping people will look into it and think again. Still, it's cheap.

I'll disagree with most here: it's effective. Not only brings up his Weicker defeat, but effectively ties Lamont to Weicker.

And then makes folks like Terra think twice.

An ad doesn't have to be revolutionary or aesthetically pleasing to be effective, just needs to make a voter think and talk.

At least here, this one's done both.
