Republican Relection Strategy: Bang Little Boys
Yes, its gotten this bad for Republicans. If scandals about Iraq, Valerie Plame, 9/11, Jack Abramoff, and Katrina weren't enough.....now we have a good old fashion child molesting Republican scandal. Republican Mark Foley has been forced to resign after his attempts to bang a kid were revealed.
"Do I make you horny?" asked the Republican.
"You in your boxers, too? ... Well, strip down and get relaxed," asked the Republican.
"He acts much older than his age...and he's in really great shape." said the Republican.
Then there is this disgustingly graphic instant message exchange where the Republican speaks of the boys "cute butt bouncing in the air."
And the Republicans placed this sexual predator as the Chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus! And we thought Mike Brownie or Rumsfeld were unqualified! Good job Republicans.
Oh, and if the Republicans putting a sex offender in charge of protecting children isn't bad enough, the Republicans have been covering this scandal up for months. Republican Leaders John Boehner and Dennis Hastert have known of the "inappropriate contact" since the Spring. Republican Rodney Alexander (who the sexual prey worked for) knew of the scandal immediately. After he found out, Alexander ran to Republican Thomas Reynolds, the chairman of the House Republican campaign organization. See, Alexander was more concerned with their campaigns. And so no big shocker, all these Republicans decided to cover up the scandal for months, instead of going to the proper authorities.
Have you ever protected a sex offender? Well, anyone that votes Republican now, is officially pro-covering up for sex offenders!

Oh, and Foley played a HUGE roll in the 2000 Florida election controversy. It is now fair to say that Bush could not have won without the help of a sexual predator.
Ironically, I was just listening to a profile of his House race the other day on NPR. This race was vital to the Democrats taking over the House. Democrats will now win it.....because Democrats don't try to bang little boys.
Ok, I guess its a safe bet that Bush likes little girls and Cheney loves little goats.

Folks, the real point here is the absolute corrupting powere that absolute power generates.
Republicans: even if you hat the Democratic Party, it is a much more humbled and chaste choice than the present R party. Just maybe, thats what saves our Nation from TOTAL depravity: the powers moves about like an electon on a sine wave...or maybe lies a dollar in the business cycle (remember the x-y graphs in school?)
So I say: with the ruling party so overwhelming corrupting - they should be discarde like a fried harddrive and the Democrats given a chance to do better.

Foley an obvious disgrace. But saying Republicans are the party of child molesters is like me saying the Democrats are the party of the Klan due to Byrd.
No, because Byrd was in the Klan decades ago, and it is not being covered up.

You have hit a new low. This is not Rep/Dem issue but you have managed to find a way. Please look at the history of a few other congressman. Why not start with 2 that have represented Mass. You can make a case of consenting adults in Frank's case but it doesnt fly in the other situation.

I listened to the coverage over the weekend and it doesn't paint a good picture for the Republican leadership in the house. The issue is when they knew, what they knew, and what they did or didn't do about it. If they knew and did nothing then that is really bad.
If anyone in the leadership (Republicans) in the House knew that a Congressman was abusing his authority in this manner and did nothing, then they should resign.
Geez and to think that Congressman Jaim Traficant was railroaded for taking free asphalt - Kicked out of Congress and presently serving out about 8 yrs.
You guys cand project the issue away (Dems are as bad..), Make excuses such as "consenting"
But this guy should not only be KICKED OUT OF Congress - His Party should enforce it!

I would agree with you in the Foley needs booted asap and looks real good for the D's.
I don't like Robert Byrd. Not sure what else to say. If I lived in West Virginia, I don't think I would vote for him.
(and if I lived in WV, I would probably have a lot of other problems: like multiple suicide attempts
