Dennis Kucinich Fan Club Update

1. This is Dennis Kucinich and his wife.

2. On January 17, 2006, Kucinich was elected to chair the Domestic Policy Subcommittee of the Government Reform Committee.

3. Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons on 2008:
"If you could take Barack Obama's image, add Hillary Clinton's money and John Edwards' voice, that would be my candidate," says Simmons, an independent who has supported both Democrats and Republicans.

Simmons says Obama has yet to present a clear picture of where he stands.

"He's a rock star," Simmons said in a telephone interview. But he added, "I don't know what his opinions are." Simmons says that so far, the message he prefers is Edwards' - but he's also fond of Dennis Kucinich, the liberal Ohio congressman launching his second long-shot candidacy.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) introduced a bill in the House of Representatives late last year that would ban weapons in space. But while there have been many similar legislative initiatives in the past, Rep. Kucinich's bill is distinguished by its unusually expansive definition of "weapons."

Among the weapons that it would proscribe the new measure includes "psychotronic" devices that are "directed at individual persons or targeted populations for the purpose of ... mood management, or mind control."

Mind-control satellites? Pretty hard to take this guy seriously. Or maybe he's right and my tin-foil hat isn't thick enough.

Jordan...that's why Dennis has his tinfoil hat.

Dennis was cute the other night...arriving 3 hours early to the State of the Union address to make sure he had the perfect seat so he could lean over and scold the President.

Your tax dollars at work.

It shows that no matter what, people of either side that are far left or far right can do or say whatever they want as long as they are in a gerrymandered district just for them

Dennis is constantly seeking ego gratification but at least up till now he has not been stealing from us. At some point even Dennis will realize he is entitled. He better hurry up or the Murthas, DeLays, Pelosis et al. will have grabbed his share.

So Kucinich should be criticized for saying something to Bush's face? I think that at least shows some character. Unlike Katherine Harris who was passing out her business card before the State of the Union speech and Michelle Bachmann who did everything but dry hump Bush after his speech.

Callahan of Callahan's Cleveland Diary had a great post up last week about Kucinich. I don't have the link handy but it's at my site.

I have a post on Frank Luntz up today that you guys might enjoy.

Redhorse, I think we got lucky. I had been trying for while to switch us over to the new blogger. Unfortunately, it is pretty anti-climatic.

Loyal Dems and espically Chuck,
Please expalin to me what is going on. This week during the Senate heaings on raising the federal mimnimum wage Sen Sessions proposed an amendment to significantly raise the fines levied on compaines that hire illegal aliens. The Democarats killed the amendment and Senator Windmill Kennedy accused the oppostion of stalling and procceded to spend 5 minutes reading from the New York Times.
Is this not something we all agree on that as long as employers hire illegals the problem will persist.
One of the reasons wages at the lower end have not kept pace with inflation is due to the large infux of illegals willing to work at lower wages. I believe this is called supply and demand.
Once again we bicker back and forth and our "representatives" play their games. We debate the correct course and they continue on their merry way. Check out Sen Reid's latest profitable land deal and ask yourself who are these people working for?

You're right, Reid should be concentrating more on making unprofitible land deals. That's the sign of a good senator and businessman.

Hey...that's not nice. And you are a bad speller.

so sorry for the typo E

Hmm...a typo is when you hit the "D" key because it's so close to the "E," or you transpose letters. At least when typing an insult, take the time to spell check.

I will explain. Republicans are trying to filibuster the minimum wage hike by adding hudreds of amendments. it is crap, and the Dems are done with this amendment game the GOP is playing.
