Regarding the actual story US admits delay to Iraqi weapons, I think we need to read between the lines here.
The Pentagon says that it's been unable to deliver these weapons because of the "export licensing process" and "changes in orders." Anyone else smell something fishy? If Bush can disregard FISA for his wiretaps, I have no doubt that the frickin' Pentagon could disregard some "export licensing process."
My guess is that, as the Iraqi army/police continue to make headlines for their reprisal/sectarian killings and working with insurgents to ambush US troops, that some high ups at the Pentagon made the conscious decision to turn down the weapons faucet to a trickle.
Other news out of Iraq- The Iraqi govt is not able to fund and continue all the rebuilding projects that we have started. These projects will either be shouldered by further US $$$$$ or something akin to bankruptcy will occur with Uncle Sam holding the note.
Robert, my guess about the sndbagging on the Iraqui arms deal - there were higher bidders so fuck Iraq...and secondly, Iraq's check may just bounce!
HeeHaw, looks like we are Cutting and Running and Georgie is in the retreat lead with his tail stuck in his ascrack

Its more like the graft machine isnt paying off for the Neos so they turn off the water
It most likely, has little to do with the Iraq problem and all to do with profit.graft
Seems like that $20 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia is fast-tracked.
Here's the link to what Menk is talking about.
Bush is a Saudi
There is also a 30 billion dollar arms deal to Israel in the oven.
Of course the Israelis object to the Saudi deal.
What the hell, might as well "capitalize" on the middle east situation - that way when we abandon Iraq to the wolves, someone makes some big bucks.
As a bonus, when the whole region decends into a suburb of armegeddon- US arms makers can opprobiously sell EVEN MORE ordinance.
CA-CHING
