President Strickland?

Political Wire:
According to the latest Evans-Novak Political Report, "important supporters" of Senator Hillary Clinton "are laying the groundwork for a campaign against Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) for Vice President on grounds that he adds nothing to the ticket. Prominent names offered as alternatives: Former Virginia Governor Mark Warner, Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland."
I cannot see Strickland actually being the VP nominee, but if it does, I am pretty sure it will cause the staff members at the Keeler Report to retire from political commentary.

Also, what is wrong with those Clinton staffers? Obama has nothing to offer? Jerks.

I would doubt anyone would pick Ole Ted, but yes, I would probably have a seizure or cremate my own remains if it happened. That is an accurate statement.

If there weren't mass suicides after Dan Quayle was chosen, there never will be.

Strickland is awesome.

Ted's name should be mentioned as a possible VP. He has plenty of federal experience as a Member of Congress. Plus, geographically how could you go wrong with someone from Ohio?

I'd prefer Ted finished the job Taft never even got around to starting.

And I suspect that is what he'll do. I've heard previous Vice-Presidents and vice-presidential candidates talk about getting the call from the nominee of the party asking them to run on the ticket. They all have said it is a tough thing to turn down.

Ted was interviewed on WCPN (the NPR station in Cleveland) a few weeks ago and he said (of course, without being absolute) that he wouldn't be the V.P. running mate.

I know, things can change.
