AkRun 5K and Crawl Next Saturday
I wanted to let our readers know about a 5K being organized by my friend Betsy. Maney and I are helping her pull it together. We will be running the race and crawling to the bars afterwards. I know many friends of the site plan on registering. Let this be your reminder. For those of you just hearing about the event you should get a couple friends to register and come run. It makes for great preparation for the Akron Marathon Relay! The Chief Source Akron Marathon Relay Team will be in attendance. I hope to see you there. Register here.

Race and Pub Crawl start at Cascade Locks Park Mustill Store - Located at corner of Howard Street and W. North Street
4:15 pm - 5:00 pm: Race registration
5K AND PUB CRAWL: $22
5:15 pm RACE (or walk!): Fee includes race t-shirt, goody bag, race prizes, computerized results, food and beverages at Mustill Store following race plus drink specials at Pub Crawl locations.
PUB CRAWL: $12
6:15 pm: Fee includes t-shirt and drink specials at Pub Crawl locations.
Proceeds to benefit Friends of Metro Parks. There will be free parking at SummaCare lot on corner of Main St. and Market St. - Sponsored by Torchbearers and Second Sole.

Kyle, thanks for your consistent support of this event. Kyle has failed to give himself credit for all the work he has done to make this event a success. Kyle has been an integral part of the organization of this race. I look forward to running and/or crawling with Chief Source readers on Sept. 15. Bob, any chance you and Patty will make a celebrity guest appearance?
