The best visit was when we went to the Tancredo office. It was just down the hall from the McCain headquarters in the same building. The Tancredo office was much smaller. We walked in and there was no one there. Then, some guy came in the door and was startled by us. He said, "Sorry guys, we're just not used to seeing people in here." Pretty funny.

He put his spitter, which was an empty liter jug of orange juice, on the counter and talked with us. He had worked for the Alabama Republican Party and was recruited by Tancredo to go to New Hampshire. He said Tancredo doesn't come up the NH very much. They had a staff of three full time people in the state and a few volunteers. Apparently the State Director in NH for Tancredo used to work for Pat Buchannan.

Bill Clinton slammed your boy Friday...

Former President Bill Clinton made an unusually direct attack Friday night on Senator Barack Obama, one of his wife’s leading rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination, suggesting that voters who would support someone with Mr. Obama’s experience were willing to “roll the dice” on the presidency.

Appearing on “The Charlie Rose Show” on PBS, Mr. Clinton repeatedly questioned Mr. Obama’s preparedness for the White House, noting that he took office in January 2005 and became a presidential candidate about two years later. (Mr. Obama was an Illinois state senator before that.)

“When is the last time we elected a president based on one year of service in the Senate before he started running?” Mr. Clinton said. At another point, he appeared to compare Mr. Obama to a “gifted television commentator” running for president. “They’d have only one year less experience in national politics” than Mr. Obama, he said.

So here we have the greatest president in your lifetime (according to you guys) slamming your favorite candidate. Ya gotta think...if Bill said it, it must be true. Afterall, the "greatest president in your lifetime" wouldn't lie, would he?

This is to be expected from the Clinton Campaign and from their campaign's most powerful surrogate. It is a good sign because they must be seeing something in their internal polling that tells them it is time to start attacking Obama.

The Clintons will go down swinging and I think they are going to go pretty negative in the next couple weeks. Their problem is they are fighting a two front war with Edwards and Obama in these early states.

I'm going to be watching to see which campaign gets the best press hit before Christmas. They all need one.

On the Today's Show on Monday David Gregory asked Clinton to explain her husband's comments. More specifically, he asked her what would the country be rolling the dice on - national security, health care, etc? Clinton completely avoided the question and after Gregory's repeated attempts to get Clinton to answer his question, he called her out on it - stating "Well, since you have chosen not to answer my question..." I was impressed that he refused to let up on her - his tone was a bit accusatory though, and I am sure the Clinton camp is thoroughly convinced that NBC supports Obama!

About the stickers: kinda weird. I got to New Hampshire and everything was so cute and quaint and clean. I had envisioned stickering stuff like people do in big, dirty cities. Every store seemed to be some Grandma's chocolate shoppe though.

I think that I only put up about 30 stickers during my 3 days in NH.

I did however unload about 200 at Boston's South Station as I waited for my last train home. I didn't stick em up, but handed em out to bored people waiting for a train. I had printed out a black and white handout which had excerpts from Hillary, Edwards and Obama. It had three big quotes from Oct. of 2002, showing first-hand, the candidates' stances on the war. People read em, front and back. People took the stickers. And those who didn't, left em for the next person who sat down. The whole thing was a big success. Although I'm still not sure of the net effect.

I hope that it didn't/doesn't cross the line of attack ad. Do you guys think that these stickers (with a handout with war-time quotes from the three leading Dems) crossed a line?

Sophie-- I saw that, too and was really put off by the way David kept harping on her. I'm glad that he didn't just throw her softball questions, but on the other hand I felt like he was being sorta disrespectful. It would be suicide for Sen. Clinton to give specific examples. If I was Hill's consultant, I'd advise her to say something like-- everyone seems to have an opinion on my campaign these days, including my husband. You'll really need to talk to him to better understand his comments regarding Senator Obama. In the meantime, I can only stress my own experience, preparedness, and campaign plan for America...
