90210 Spinoff?!
Oh, I'm squirming in my seat! Just got the news that Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars writer) is pitching the return of Beverly Hills, 90210 to the CW! Just a few details have leaked out, but the pilot appears to have a 60-something recovering alcoholic calling on her son to help her through the rough times; high school principal son moves back to the Hills with his Olympic athlete wife and two teenage kids. Sounds like the kids and their crew will fit the typical high school angst prototypes, but will be much more ethnically diverse this time around. Haven't heard whether the Peach Pit will play a role, but expect to see some old school cameos pop up now and again. In fact, brother and sister Max and Daphne Silver will be main characters-- Quick trivia question: Which original character do we expect them to be related to? Find out in the comments section...
It's gonna be totally rad!

Answer: David Silver played by Brian Austin Green.
I feel bad because I just realized that Andrea is cut out of the picture I posted, but I suppose that kind of goes along with the gang-- she was always the one left out. Oh well.
Interesting -- so will Aaron Spelling's old company be producing it, or will someone else be taking over the 90210 label?
"Totally rad"? Wow -- the '80s must be back! ;-)
isn't brian austin green that guy in the sarah conner chronicals? it is one of them from 90210, i just don't know the name and am too lazy to look it up.
i can't beleive you liked that show, annie. so did my wife. i think she watched it, and other shows since then, because she knew i would leave the room :o
Andrea deserved to be left out, she was a freakin 30-year old woman playing a high schooler! Seriously, the actress was about a decade older than the rest of the cast (who were already a good five years+ removed from high school). I watched it in middle school and that was it. I imagine that Tori Spelling will have a lot of cameos.
Yeah, I only watched the high school years; after they went to college and Tiffani Amber Thiessen came on, I lost interest. Same with Dawson's Creek and Saved By the Bell-- the college years sucked.
Remember the show Models, Inc- a spinoff of Melrose Place? It was only on for one season, but of course I was instantly addicted.
As a matter of fact, a lot of my shows get canceled after one or two seasons; recently: What About Brian, Conviction, Kidnapped, Pirate Master...
Okay, maybe the Pirate show deserved to be canceled... =)
