This past Saturday my brother Carson and I went to the early voting location on East Tallmadge Avenue set up by the Summit County Board of Elections to vote for Barack Obama.  As we pulled into the parking lot we were greeted by volunteers passing out literature on Issue 8 (selling the sewer) and Democratic sample ballots. This is a screen shot of the CNN/Politics page. I guess that the big "B" is implicit in the headline. Still, it's one character. Toss it in there, CNN. When I first read this headline, I dreamt it might actually be some act of flip rebellion, the House was giving the bailout the big, middle finger by agreeing to it just so long as the total did not exceed one grand.

In mid-August I laid out a tug-o-war scenario that showed which states were most vulnerable to being tipped by either candidate. Who's tipped what since? Well, if the election had happened yesterday, this is what the map would've most likely looked like: Obama by 168.

Obama has peaked. These polls are simply way to skewed for Obama. Absent McCain dropping a C-Bomb on his wife again, Obama is not winning Florida and Ohio by 8%. So knowing this election is due to swing back towards McCain, the real question is how far will McCain come back. To that question, we can all agree that Sarah Palin's performance tonight will be key.
